In collaboration with Microsoft, Invest Qatar introduced Ai.SHA, an advanced digital assistant powered by Azure OpenAI technology. This innovative chatbot is designed to assist users with a range of inquiries about Qatar’s business opportunities, investment environment, and business setup.
Users can now interact with Ai.SHA through a live chat window on Invest Qatar’s website, where they are welcomed with a friendly “Hi!” The chatbot is programmed to provide information and direct users to human assistants if it cannot address specific queries.
The launch of Ai.SHA marks a significant step in Invest Qatar’s collaboration with Microsoft, which began with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed in 2023. The MoU aims to advance digital innovation in Qatar and supports the country’s National Vision 2030, which focuses on fostering a knowledge-based economy through innovation and exceptional public services.
Hamad Rashid Al-Naimi, Strategy Manager at Invest Qatar, commented, “Ai.SHA will open new avenues for interested investors and streamline decision-making, enhancing accessibility and efficiency.”
He highlighted that the new chatbot will improve investors’ interaction with Qatar’s business landscape.
Invest Qatar’s initiative positions it as one of the world’s first investment promotion agencies to adopt such advanced technology, as reported by Zawya. This move reinforces the agency’s commitment to enhancing its digital offerings and supporting investor engagement.
In a related development, recall that on November 28, 2023, Invest Qatar announced a new partnership with Qatar’s Ministry of Labor (MoL) aimed at workforce development. This collaboration aimed to integrate artificial intelligence technologies to enhance the MoL’s operations and service delivery. The MoL has been working with Microsoft since November 2022 on a Cloud transition to modernize its management and improve customer satisfaction.
The MoL’s use of A100 graphic processing units and Microsoft Azure technology represents a notable advancement in Qatar’s commitment to adopting state-of-the-art technologies.
Sheikha Najwa Al-Thani, the MoL’s Assistant Undersecretary for Migrant Labour Affairs, stated, “The incorporation of this new GPU infrastructure marks a notable milestone in Qatar’s dedication to adopting the most advanced technologies for enhancing management and service effectiveness.”
Additionally, Invest Qatar has recently launched the “Invest Qatar Gateway,” a digital platform that aids foreign investors in discovering new business opportunities and forming partnerships in Qatar. This platform offers access to a database of current tenders and facilitates direct communication with the Invest Qatar Investor Relations team, providing tailored support for business development in the country.
