MEVP Backs AppliedAI in $55M Round to Fuel Global Growth

Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP), one of MENA’s leading venture capital firms, has announced its participation in the $55 million Series A round of AppliedAI, an Abu Dhabi-based AI automation platform.

The oversubscribed round also included G42, Bessemer Venture Partners, and strategic partner e&.

AppliedAI’s enterprise-focused platform, Opus, is designed to streamline back-office operations in heavily regulated sectors such as financial services, healthcare, and government.

The company’s technology helps organisations replace manual processes with scalable, AI-driven automation that meets regulatory and security requirements.

AppliedAI for Regulated Sectors: Strategic Fit for MEVP

“AppliedAI exemplifies the exceptional founders we back, talented entrepreneurs building innovative technology solutions that drive meaningful transformation in the Middle East,” said Walid Mansour, Co-CEO at MEVP.

“Their deep understanding of regulated environments and proven enterprise traction make them a natural fit for our portfolio as we continue building global AI leaders from the MENA region, bringing forth innovation in tech and societies alike.”

The investment will accelerate AppliedAI’s global expansion, enhance its product capabilities, and strengthen its regional market presence.

Originally founded in London, the firm relocated to Abu Dhabi in 2022, embedding itself in the UAE’s fast-growing AI ecosystem and forming close ties with national innovation stakeholders.

MEVP’s investment underlines growing regional confidence in MENA-founded deep tech ventures. With Opus, AppliedAI is positioning itself as a key player in enterprise AI, while MEVP continues its mission to back transformative startups that drive tech innovation across regulated sectors.
