Orbit Launches Sanabel Accelerator for MENA Startups

Orbit Startups and Sanabil Investments have launched the Sanabil Accelerator by Orbit, a program dedicated to supporting early-stage startups in Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.

The program aims to provide support to global companies seeking to expand into these emerging markets.

This initiative is considered an important strategic step in enhancing the entrepreneurship and innovation environment in the region, as the organizing companies seek to create a competitive and sustainable environment that enhances the ability of emerging companies to grow and expand more quickly.

The program targets several key economic sectors that are witnessing significant growth in the region, such as financial technology, healthcare, e-commerce, mobility, and logistics.

This diversity of sectors is one of the most important factors in the success of the program, as it allows startups to benefit from a variety of fields that represent future opportunities in the digital and technological economy.

This program is Sanabil Investments’ second accelerator launched since 2021. It focuses on companies in the “Pre-Seed” stage, which need initial funding to support their innovations and transform their ideas into scalable projects.

In contrast, the Sanabel accelerator from 500 Global focuses on companies in the “Seed” stage, reflecting the diversity of support and investment mechanisms provided to startups at different stages.

This distribution among accelerators demonstrates integrated strategies aimed at financing startups from their inception to their advanced growth stages, while providing full support in the areas of guidance and strategic advice.

$100K funding for Orbit startups

What is unique about the “Sanabel Accelerator by Orbit” program is the investment opportunities it offers, as participating companies will be able to obtain an initial investment of $100,000, with the possibility of obtaining additional funding in the event of the success and continuity of the projects.

Seed funding provides startups with the capital they need to develop their ideas and implement their strategies, which is essential for the success of any startup in a highly competitive market.

The programme also includes a range of initiatives and activities focused on accelerating growth, such as a four-month acceleration period during which specialised consulting and training workshops are provided in areas such as sales and marketing, in addition to developing products to meet market needs.
