Presight, MBZUAI team up to boost UAE’s AI startups

Presight, a global leader in AI-driven big data analytics, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) to supercharge its AI Startup Accelerator Program.

This new partnership brings together the startup’s real-world AI capabilities with MBZUAI’s academic firepower to support early-stage startups and nurture a thriving AI innovation ecosystem in Abu Dhabi and beyond.

“This partnership brings together two of Abu Dhabi’s leading AI institutions with the goal of creating a high-impact engine for innovation, entrepreneurship, and talent development,” said Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight.

“By combining our strengths… we are creating a multiplier effect that accelerates startup growth and amplifies the UAE’s AI ambitions,” he added.

How Presight is Building a Future-Ready AI Ecosystem

The collaboration focuses on four key areas:

  • Startup Scouting: MBZUAI will nominate top AI-focused startups and join Presight in selecting participants.
  • Technical & Advisory Support: Startups will get access to MBZUAI’s world-class faculty and researchers, with support from the company in forging advisory relationships.
  • Talent Access: MBZUAI students will explore internship and career opportunities within company network.
  • Events & Knowledge Sharing: Joint workshops and events will focus on AI, entrepreneurship, and innovation, with MBZUAI contributing mentors and speakers.

According to Sultan Al Hajji, Senior Advisor to the President of MBZUAI: “This collaboration will strengthen the AI startup ecosystem in the UAE… With the university’s expertise and Presight’s platform, this partnership delivers access to technical advisory and talent that can create real impact.”

This MoU builds on Presight’s ongoing partnership with Microsoft, which provides key infrastructure and go-to-market support for its accelerator program.

As the UAE continues pushing ahead with its National AI Strategy 2031, this collaboration is yet another move positioning Abu Dhabi as a global hub for applied AI innovation.
