The Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) said it has signed a Letter of Intent with ContiOcean Environment Tech Co.,Ltd. This collaboration signals the mutual interest between both parties in establishing an innovative R & D Center at QSTP.
ContiOcean is a Shanghai-based Environment Tech company focusing on marine environment protection engineering. It aims to support Qatar’s sustainability goals by developing marine green technologies tailored for Qatar and the MENA region.
QSTP announced the partnership in a statement via its LinkedIn page. The statement reads thus: “We are excited to announce the signing of a Letter of Intent between ContiOcean Environment Tech Co.,Ltd and QSTP! This collaboration signals our mutual interest in establishing an innovative R&D Center at QSTP.
“ContiOcean aims to support Qatar’s ambitious sustainability targets by developing marine green technologies tailored for Qatar and the MENA region. The new R&D center will also foster collaboration with their European-based Wavelength Technology Center, bringing more world-class talent into Qatar.”
Also, the QSTP revealed that it had facilitated a meeting between startups in the Global Innovation Link and local ecosystem players in Qatar, such as Invest Qatar, TASMU Smart Qatar, and Innovation Streams.
“Today, our Global Innovation Link startups met with local ecosystem players Invest Qatar, TASMU SMART QATAR, and Innovation Streams to learn more about and better understand the Qatari market,” the statement said.
