Saudi Women in Tech: Falak, StanChart Launch 3rd Cohort

Standard Chartered, in partnership with Falak Investment Hub, has officially launched the third cohort of its Women in Tech program in Saudi Arabia.

This exciting initiative is now open for applications from women-led or women-founded startups developing innovative digital solutions that support the Kingdom’s growing economic sectors.

Part of Standard Chartered’s global Futuremakers initiative, the Women in Tech program is designed to boost the economic inclusion of youth and women through education, entrepreneurship, and employment.

Locally executed by Falak Investment Hub, a leading force in the Saudi startup ecosystem, this program provides a unique platform for women entrepreneurs to scale their tech ventures.

Falak 2025 Theme: Innovate. Lead. Inspire.

This year’s theme is “Innovate. Lead. Inspire.,” celebrates the growing influence of Saudi women in shaping the future of technology. The program is not just about business growth; it’s about empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders.

“With this program, we continue to support innovation led by women and promote inclusive growth in the Kingdom,” said Mazen Bunyan, CEO of Standard Chartered Saudi Arabia.

“We are proud to launch this initiative alongside our strategic partner, Falak.”

The impact of the Women in Tech program speaks for itself. Past participants have gone on to achieve remarkable milestones:

  • Shefaa raised $5.25 million to scale its healthcare platform.
  • AfsaH, winner of the second edition, continues to gain traction across the region.
  • Ava and Tarkeez are growing fast in the fintech and productivity tech spaces.

These inspiring success stories highlight how the program helps turn bold ideas into thriving businesses.

What to Expect in the 2025 Program

This year’s cohort will participate in an intensive 8-week experience that includes:

  • Hands-on training workshops
  • Personalized mentorship and advisory support
  • Investor networking and pitch opportunities

At the end of the program, the top three startups will win a combined equity-free grant of $45,000 to help them take their ventures to the next level.

Applications are now open and will close on June 27, 2025. The program officially kicks off in early July.
