Qlub Raises $30M to Expand Contactless Dining Globally

UAE-based restaurant payments startup Qlub has secured a $30 million funding round to support its mission of revolutionizing the dining experience with contactless payments.

The round was co-led by Shorooq Partners and Cherry Ventures, with participation from e&, Mubadala Investments, and Legend Capital.

Founded in 2021 by Eyad Alkassar and Mahmoud Fouz, Qlub offers diners a seamless experience: by scanning a QR code, they can view the menu, place orders, and complete payments—all from their smartphone.

This innovation not only enhances convenience and speed, it also helps restaurants eliminate physical menus and streamline operations.

How Qlub is Driving Contactless Innovation Across Continents

The firm has quickly built a global presence, operating in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Qatar, Kuwait, and Korea.

Notable clients include international dining brands like Paul, Wagamama, Sushi Samba, and La Petite Maison—underscoring the platform’s appeal to both multinational chains and local establishments.

With its new capital infusion, Qlub plans to deepen its footprint in existing markets while entering new geographies.

The company also intends to enhance its platform with advanced analytics tools, giving restaurants richer insights into customer behavior, menu performance, and operational efficiency.

“Our vision is simple: Qlub makes paying at restaurants ten times faster — and that elevates the entire dining experience,” said Eyad Alkassar, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Qlub.

The goal is not only quicker payments, but also a more engaging, data-driven interaction between diners and restaurants.

Looking ahead, the company aims to accelerate its global rollout and continue deepening its suite of services. Its strategy includes forging stronger partnerships across the hospitality and technology ecosystem, integrating with POS systems, loyalty platforms, and kitchen management tools.

This integrated approach—combining speed, insights, and scalability—positions Qlub to lead the contactless revolution in the global dining industry.
