Web Summit Qatar to Host Investors and Experts in Doha

Web Summit Qatar, one of the most eagerly awaited events of 2024, is set to attract leading entrepreneurs, investors, experts, and tech enthusiasts, promising an exceptional platform for collaboration.

Katherine Maher, CEO of Web Summit, highlighted that the event will unite markets from the Middle East, South Asia, and Africa, alongside numerous startups and investors who regularly participate in the Web Summit. 

“I know sitting here in Doha as well is an incredible opportunity to bring in people not just from the Arabic speaking world but also from South Asia, Africa. I’m just hugely excited about that,” she said during a recent event in Doha.

Doha is preparing to host the largest technology event ever held in the MENA region in February 2024, with expectations to draw more than 7,500 attendees, 300 startups, and 400 investors.

Maher remarked, “…A supportive community who come back to Web Summit over and over again from our startup community, investor community, the partners and you can really feel the enthusiasm and the value of being part of our event.”

She further noted, “Feedback that I get all the time is that people enjoy the Web Summit so much they believe they get the value out of it,” highlighting that speakers, startups, and investors who participate in the event prioritize their involvement.

The Web Summit is the world’s largest annual technology conference, uniting entrepreneurs, investors, startups, and experts from the tech industry.

It showcases cutting-edge trends in technology and innovation while providing valuable networking and collaboration opportunities for attendees from around the globe.

“I’m very excited for the Web Summit Qatar,” said Saif Qazi, Co-founder of Urban Point, during the ‘Runway to Web Summit’ event.

Reflecting on his first Web Summit experience, Qazi described it as overwhelming and noted that he and his team chose to attend repeatedly. “The Web Summit is not just a conference; it is like a melting pot of a year’s innovation,” he added.

Qazi emphasized that participants will benefit from a wide range of startups, main sessions, speaker presentations, and master classes, all featuring leading experts in their fields.

Web Summit Qatar is scheduled to take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) from February 26-29, 2024.
